What Is Vivos® DNA/mRNA Appliance Therapy?

Vivos® DNA/mRNA Appliance Therapy is a treatment program that utilizes a combination of the company’s FDA-approved DNA/mRNA oral appliance along with a collaborative approach between the dentist who prescribes it and their colleagues in the medical field. This two-pronged approach is designed to focus on eradicating the cause of the patient’s sleep-disordered breathing condition, rather than just treating the symptoms.

What Are the
Benefits of the Vivos® System

One of the most prominent benefits of Vivos® DNA/mRNA Appliance Therapy is its ability to help individuals who suffer from mild to moderate degrees of sleep apnea increase the chance of resolving the problem without the need for continued reliance on CPAP machines or other sleep apnea therapies in the future. Additionally, the Vivos® System offers a non-surgical and virtually painless solution to sleep apnea, and is even capable of reducing or potentially completely eliminating snoring. This therapy may also benefit patients who suffer from TMJ Disorder, bruxism (teeth grinding/clenching), and other conditions.

What Is the Vivos® Treatment Like?

The first step of the Vivos® treatment process is the sleep apnea diagnosis by a physician, who can then collaborate on the therapy protocol with our dentist. This comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach—combining the expertise of both medical and dental professionals with advanced technology and Vivos® technicians—is an important part of the Vivos® treatment program and helps increase the potential for results that successfully address the root cause of the condition. The customized Vivos® DNA oral appliance applies the sciences of Craniofacial Epigenetics and Pneumopedics®, ultimately helping to “remodel” the airway without surgical intervention and treat the actual cause of the airway obstruction. The therapy is essentially designed to provide patients with a healthier and more restful night’s sleep while reducing the possibility that lifetime CPAP therapy or other long-term sleep apnea treatments will be necessary.

Members of our team here at Fulbright Cosmetic & Reconstructive Dentistry have undergone extensive training that has allowed us to collaborate with the Vivos® organization and offer this advanced treatment program to our patients. We will be happy to meet with you in a consultation to determine whether the Vivos® System may be an ideal solution for your needs.
