Restorative Dentistry Treatments – Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes Areas

Over time, teeth can become worn, cracked, and decayed, which can make a smile look less than dazzling and lead to speaking and chewing problems. Through restorative dentistry, not only are we able to restore beauty to a smile, but also function, making chewing and speaking easer and improving overall oral health. At the practice of Michael Fulbright, D.D.S., we offer dental bridges, full mouth rehabilitation, and other restorative dentistry options to help patients in Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and surrounding communities attain smiles they can be proud of.

Dental Bridges

It is important to replace missing teeth so that the surrounding teeth do not shift out of alignment. This can cause chewing, biting, and speaking problems, and can also make cleaning more difficult. Dental bridges are just one restorative dentistry option that can prevent problems associated with missing teeth. A dental bridge consists of one or more replacement teeth that are attached to the adjacent teeth with dental crowns. An alternative method is a fixed implant bridge, in which the dental bridge is held in place using dental implants so that the surrounding teeth are unaffected.

The Dental Bridges Procedure

To place a dental bridge, the teeth surrounding the gap are first prepared for crowns. Then, an impression of the area is made so that the bridge can be custom made. Once the bridge is ready, it is bonded in place. If a bridge is going to be attached with dental implants, the surgery to place the implant posts is performed first and the bridge is placed after a short recovery period.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

For patients with multiple dental issues, we can combine several restorative dentistry procedures into a full mouth rehabilitation at our practice in Redondo Beach near Palos Verdes. Similar to a smile makeover, a full mouth rehabilitation results in a dramatic transformation; however, full mouth rehabilitation focuses more on the function of the teeth than a smile makeover. The full mouth rehabilitation process begins with a thorough dental examination and consultation. Our experienced dentists will speak with you about your goals and preferences so that together you can plan a course of treatment.

Our dentists will design a full mouth rehabilitation to fit your individual needs so that you can attain a beautiful and healthy smile.

For your full mouth rehabilitation, we may use a dental bridge or dental implants to replace missing teeth. Dr. Michael Fulbright is experienced at planning complex tooth replacements involving multiple dental implants and even jaw reconstructions with dental implants.

Old, worn dental work may be replaced with porcelain veneers or porcelain crowns to not only restore function but also beauty to your smile.

In addition to placing all-porcelain restorations, our dentists may suggest Invisalign® orthodontics to straighten teeth that are misaligned.

No matter what your dental issues are, our dentists will utilize the cosmetic and restorative dentistry options available at our Redondo Beach practice to help you attain a beautiful and healthy smile.
